GAINSVILLE, FL – The NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships conclude as Mid-South Conference institutions saw plenty of success.
The University of the Cumberlands finished runner-up in the Championships with a total team score of 64 points. Cumberlands earned individual championships in the 500m as Luca Madeo earned the gold. In the 3k, Youssef Asslouj won the gold, earning the Patriots' second individual championship. Earning a bronze in the 400m dash, Jaysaun Smith earned Cumberlands last medal.
The conference wasn’t done there as Cumberland University would earn a silver medal as Mustapha Bokpin placed second in the 60m dash.
Lindsey Wilson’s Marti Molins placed second in the 1000 run to earn the silver for the Blue Raiders. His teammate Tremaine Browne earned the bronze in the triple jump.
Total, the MSC earned 6 medals in the Championships.
