BOWLING GREEN, KY – The University of the Cumberlands’ Elizabeth Lucason (Track) and Cumberland University’s Zoe Vlk (Field) are the Mid-South Conference Women's Track and Field Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
MSC Women’s Track Player of the Week
Elizabeth Lucason – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Jr. – Camden, New York –200/60m Dash
- Lucason won every race she competed in at the MSC Indoor Championships, including the 800m and 1K individual races, and the 4x800 and DMR. She helped hit two standards in the relays, both top-12 times in the NAIA as well.
MSC Women’s Field Player of the Week
Zoe Vlk – Cumberland (Tenn.) –So.–Lebanon, Tennessee– Shot Put/ Weight Throw
- Vlk won two championships over the weekend as she won the Shot Put and Weight Throw.
- In the Shot Put, she placed first out of 13 competitors with a throw of 14.02 meters. In the Weight Throw, she placed first out of 12 competitors with a throw of 16.33 meters.
- This earns her third field honor of the season, ending the season with more than any athlete this season.
