BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Emaleigh Tarpley and Cumberlands’ (Tenn.) Zaram Fredricks are the Mid-South Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Zaram Fredricks – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Center – Lagos, Nigeria
- Fredricks secured 30 rebounds and swatted three shots across two wins for the Patriots.
- The senior is second in the NAIA in rebounds and ninth in blocks.
- Fredricks earns her second weekly conference honor this season and of her career.
MSC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Emaleigh Tarpley – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Jr. – Forward – Manchester, Tenn.
- Tarpley had a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double for the Phoenix in their 77-50 victory against Oakland City.
- The junior shot 64% from the field in the contest, adding three assists and two steals.
- Tarpley earns the first weekly honor of this season and for the second time of her career.
