BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Ty Buckley and Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Zaram Fredricks are the Mid-South Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week

Zaram Fredricks – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Center – Lagos, Nigeria

• Fredricks had a career-high 25 rebounds and 20 points, and also had three blocks in the #12 Patriots’ victory against Tennessee Wesleyan.

• The senior tied the program record for rebounds in a single game.

• Fredricks earns her third weekly conference honor this season and of her career.

MSC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week

Ty Buckley – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Sr. – Guard – Meridian, Miss.

• Buckley averaged 21 points and shot nearly 49% from the field for the Phoenix and their 2-0 week.

• The senior’s 24 points led a huge 17-point comeback as Cumberland defeated (RV) Saint Xavier, 76-68.

• Buckley earns her third weekly conference honor this season and of her career.
