BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson's Ola Wyryzkowska and Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Davey Slaughter and Savanah Jolly have been selected the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Ola Wyrzykowska – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Sr. – Outside Hitter – Wegorzewo, Poland
- Wyrzykowska led the way for Lindsey Wilson recorded 67 kills, 34 digs, and five blocks over the Blue Raiders four matches.
- The senior collected pair of double-doubles, including a career-high 27 kills in the five-set win over Bryan.
- Wyrzykowska also notched 16 kills and four blocks in the 3-0 win over Georgetown.
- She collected 14 kills and 14 digs in the five-set match with Reinhardt
- Wyrzykowska earns her third weekly honor this season and the fourth of her career.
MSC Volleyball Defender of the Week
Davey Slaughter – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Defensive Specialist – Mount Juliet, Tenn.
- Slaughter recorded 70 digs, averaging 5.38 d/s, and 14 aces over the Patriots four matches.
- The senior tallied 17 digs, 5.67 d/s, along with a trio of aces, in Cumberlands sweep over Lindsey Wilson.
- Slaughter followed that up with 11digs against Campbellsville, before tallying 23 digs, six assists, and four aces against Aquinas.
- She closed out the week with 19 digs and five aces in the sweep over UNOH.
- Slaughter earns her third weekly honor this season and of her career.
MSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
Savanah Jolly – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Jr. – Setter – Louisville, Ky.
- Jolly tallied 130 assists, averaging 10.00 assists per set, to go along with 39 digs in the Patriots four wins.
- The junior dished out 37 assists, 12.67 a/s, along with six digs as the Patriots tallied a 3-0 win over the Blue Raiders.
- She notched 39 assists, eight kills and 13 digs in the four-set win over (RV) Aquinas.
- Jolly added 24 assists against Campbellsville, keeping UC in unbeaten in conference play.
- Jolly earns her eighth weekly honor this season and the ninth of her career.
