COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson women's golfer Vu Hoang Anh Nguyen has been named the NAIA National Women's Golfer of the Week, national officials announced on Wednesday. 

Nguyen, a freshman from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in her career. She becomes just the second Blue Raider in program history to earn the honor. Nguyen finished first in the Blue Raider Fall Invitational at the Pines at Lindsey Wilson after shooting an 11-under 205 (66-68-71). She carded 17 birdies over three rounds, leading the tournament. 

Nguyen broke three Blue Raider program records en route to her first career victory. Her round-one 66 is the new program record, while her two-round score of 134 is also the lowest in program history. She also broke the three-round record after finishing the tournament at 205. 

Nguyen helped the No.13-ranked Blue Raiders finish first (858) and set three program records at the Blue Raider Fall Invitational, beating second-place Campbellsville (Ky.) (947) by 89 strokes. 
Nguyen and the Blue Raiders are back in action October 5th and 6th at the Roadrunner Fall Invitational in Dalton, Georgia.
