Cumberlands Picked to Win the 2026 Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Title

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Mid-South Conference coaches pick Cumberlands (Ky.) as the favorite to capture the 2026 Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Championship this fall, conference officials announced on Friday.

The Patriots received 36 voting points, including six of the seven first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Cumberlands seeks its seventh straight conference title this fall. The Patriots won the 2025 championship with 22 points after seven Cumberlands harriers finished in the top 10.

Cumberland (Tenn.) is second in the voting with 28 points, including the final first-place vote. Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) is third in the preseason poll with 21 voting points.

Campbellsville (Ky.) is fourth in the poll with 20 voting points and Georgetown (Ky.) checks in at fifth with 18 voting points. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is sixth with 16 voting points and Bethel (Tenn.) is seventh with eight voting points.

The 2026 MSC women's cross country season begins in late August, with the conference championship scheduled for Friday, November 6, in Bowling Green.
