BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands' (Ky.) Peggy Haus is the 2025-26 Mid-South Conference's Above and Beyond-Athletic Trainer of the Year, MSC officials announced on Wednesday.

The honor is Haus' first of her career.

"I’m humbled to be recognized by my peers with this honor," Haus said. "It’s been a privilege serving as the head athletic trainer at Cumberlands for the past 35 years and watching the Mid-South Conference grow into one of the premier conferences in the NAIA. This honor is also a testament to the incredible athletic training staff that we have at UC."

Haus has been at Cumberlands since 1990 and has been the head athletic trainer since 1991. She retired from athletic training on June 1 to transition to a full-time faculty member in the Cumberlands' Health, Exercise and Sports Science Department.

"Congratulations to Peggy for earning Athletic Training of the Year," Cumberlands athletics director Chris Kraftick said. "Peggy’s been a staple in our department for over 30 years and has positively impacted countless student-athletes and coaches. We thank Peggy for her tremendous contributions to Cumberlands Athletics and the Mid-South Conference."

The Mid-South Conference Above and Beyond award is voted on by each institution's head athletic trainer. They are not allowed to vote for themselves.
