BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Campbellsville (Ky.) athletic training staff has been named the Mid-South Conference's Athletic Training Staff of the Year for the 2025-26 academic year, MSC officials announced on Tuesday.
The award is presented to the athletic training staff for, in the opinion of their peers, their commitment and distinguished service to their institution’s student-athletes, for providing exceptional service and accommodation for visiting teams, for service to their community, and for excellence in the athletic training profession.
"It is an honor for the Campbellsville University Athletic Training staff to be recognized as the MSC Athletic Training Staff of the Year for 2025-26," Campbellsville Director of Athletic Training Derek Port said. "Working with them every day to provide healthcare to our student-athletes and teams is a blessing.
"Their commitment, their caring hearts, and their servant leadership do not go unnoticed around campus and, with this amazing recognition, is not unnoticed across the conference," . I not only congratulate our staff for this award but also thank them with all of my heart for what they provide to our student-athletes and teams.”
It marks the seventh time Campbellsville has earned the recognition. Campbellsville also earned the honor in the 2014-15, 2017-18, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2023-24 seasons.
"The MSC Athletic Training Staff of the Year award means so much to my staff and I, it reflects who we are, not just what we do." Campbellsville Head Athletic Trainer Kaitlyn Sanfilippo said. "The countless early mornings, late nights, selfless service, and unwavering dedication to our student-athletes have not gone unnoticed. I couldn’t be prouder of this team; this recognition is truly well deserved."
Campbellsville athletic training not only provided excellent care for Tiger student-athletes during the year but also assisted with Mid-South championships during the 2025-26 academic year.

Campbellsville's athletic training staff includes Port, Sanfilippo, Josh Hawkins, Maddie Dawson, Kate Schrock, Lydia Haak, Justin Ramos, Lauren McKenney, and Shawney Coenraad.
The Mid-South Conference Athletic Training Staff of the Year is voted on by each institution's head athletic trainer. They are not allowed to vote for their staff.
