BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Mid-South Conference officials announced the 2026 All MSC Baseball teams and individual award winners on Tuesday.

Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Derrick Andiarena is the MSC Baseball Player of the Year, Cumberlands’ Wesley Culley is the Pitcher of the Year, and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) Brennen Gibson is the MSC Freshman of the Year.

Mid-South Conference head coaches selected the individual awards and all-conference teams by vote. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

Cumberlands’ Brad Shelton is the MSC Head Coach of the Year, and Lindsey Wilson’s Thorne Gray is the conference assistant coach of the year.

Andiarena put together one of the top offensive seasons in the Mid-South Conference, finishing third in the conference with a .413 batting average. He led the conference with 75 RBIs, ranked fourth with 16 home runs, and added 18 doubles, two triples, and 11 stolen bases.

Andiarena was also named MSC Player of the Week twice during the season.

Culley finished second in the MSC with a 3.71 ERA while leading the conference in both wins and strikeouts. He posted an 8-1 record with 72 strikeouts across 68 innings, tossing three complete games and allowing just 28 earned runs. Opponents hit only .227 against him.

Culley also earned MSC Pitcher of the Week honors twice this season.

Gibson closed the regular season with a strong all-around year, batting .400. He recorded 47 RBIs, 12 doubles, two triples, 11 home runs, and 22 stolen bases. Defensively, Gibson posted a .976 fielding percentage with three assists.

Shelton led the Patriots to a 41-7 regular-season record and a 16-2 mark in Mid-South Conference play, winning the MSC regular-season title for a fourth straight year. This marks the eighth time Shelton has received the honor.

Gray helped guide Lindsey Wilson to a 19-27 overall record and a 9-9 mark in conference play, earning the No. 4 seed in the MSC Tournament. Gray earns his first conference honor.

Eighteen baseball student-athletes earned first-team all-conference honors, and another 12 earned second-team honors. The MSC Gold Glove Team was also announced on Tuesday. The team is selected by the conference coaches based on fielding percentage and number of fielding chances during the season.

The Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament begins on Tuesday, with the championship scheduled for Saturday at Bowling Green Ballpark.
