BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel's (Tenn.) Gustavo Santos has been named the Mid-South Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

Gustavo Santos – Bethel (Tenn.) – Jr. – Foz do Iguacu, Brazil

·       Santos was perfect on the singles and doubles courts last week, while helping Bethel to a 3-0 week.

·       He picked up straight-sets singles wins against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), Brescia (Ky.), and No. 16-ranked Oakland City (Ind.).

·       Santos' 6-1, 7-5 win on court three, to go along with his doubles win in the second-seeded match, fueled the Wildcats' win over nationally-ranked Oakland City.

·       He lost just nine games in his three singles wins, while playing at three different positions (No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 seeds.)

·       Santos earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
