Cumberlands Atop Leaderboard at MSC Men's Swimming & Diving Championships

DANVILLE, Ky. - Cumberlands (Ky.) posted a team score of 324 points on Thursday to lead the Mid-South Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships after the first day of competition at the Champions Hall.

The Patriots seized all six first-place finishes on Thursday and concluded the day with nine podium finishes.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is second with 208 points and five podiums -- three seconds and two thirds. Indiana Wesleyan is third with 91 points, followed by Campbellsville (Ky.) with 83 points, Midway (Ky.) with 80, and Shawnee State (Ohio) with 79 points.

Individuals who win a race earn first-team all-Mid-South Conference, while second and third-place finishers also earn all-conference honors.

Six A cuts and three meet records were set during tonight's competition.

The three meet records included:

-        Cumberlands' 200 Freestyle Relay Team - 1:20.59

-        Cumberlands' Fabrizio Pacioni - 200 IM - 1:49.87

-        Cumberlands' 400 Medley Relay Team - 3:17.74

Action continues Friday with prelims beginning at 11 a.m. ET and finals starting at 7 p.m. ET.
