Five MSC Teams Ranked in NAIA Women’s Wrestling Coaches’ Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Five Mid-South Conference teams are ranked in the NAIA Women’s Wrestling Coaches’  Top 20 Poll.
 
Life (Ga.) sits atop the poll with 233 points. The Running Eagles have six wrestlers ranked No. 1 in their respective weight classes. Ariana Martinez holds the top spot at 110 pounds, Salyna Shotwell is ranked first at 117 pounds, Sarah Savidge is first at 131, Zaynah McBryde at 138, Latifah McBryde at 160, and Reka Busa at 180. Life has six other grapplers ranked in their weight classes.
 
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) moved up one spot to No. 4 with 154 points. The Blue Raiders have 12 wrestlers ranked, led by Kamilah Brooks, who holds the No. 3 spot at 124 pounds.
 
Cumberlands (Ky.) stayed at  No. 6. The Patriots earned 129 points in the poll. Cumberlands has 11 individuals ranked, led by Saiheron Preciado-Meza who is ranked third at 180 pounds.
 
 
Indiana Tech stayed at No. 8 with 115 points. Rose Kaplan is the highest-ranked Warrior in the poll, coming in at No. 2 at 124 pounds. Indiana Tech has an additional eight wrestlers ranked.
 
 
Campbellsville (Ky.) is up two spots to No. 15 in the poll with 58 points. The Tigers have five wrestlers ranked, led by Makennah Craft, who is second at 103 pounds.
 
Georgetown (Ky.), Montreat (N.C.), and Lourdes (Ohio) are mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll. Georgetown earned 11 points in the poll, with two wrestlers ranked. Montreat  earned eight points with one individual ranking. Lourdes garnered three points and had one wrestler ranked.
 
Grand View (Iowa) sits in second with 200 points, while Providence is third with 182 points. William Penn (Iowa) is slotted fifth with 153 points.
