BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Grace Ross and Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Kayden Murray are the Mid-South Conference Softball Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 

MSC Softball Player of the Week
Grace Ross – Cumberlands (Ky.) - Gr. - Austin, Texas
 

• Ross had an all-around performance during the St. Francis (Ill.) series, batting .571 (4-for-7) with two home runs, two doubles, and eight RBIs across three games.
• She totaled 12 bases and posted a 1.714 slugging percentage.
• Defensively, she was perfect behind the plate, recording eight putouts with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
• Ross earns her second conference honor of the season.

 
MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Kayden Murray – Lindsey Wilson – Jr. – Bowling Green, Ky
 

• Murray retired 13 batters on strikes in a complete-game shutout of Union Commonwealth (Ky.)
• She allowed six hits with no walks in 7.0 innings.
• She struck out the side twice and punched out multiple strikeouts in three different innings
• Murray improved to 2-1 on the season and has posted 10+ strikeouts in two of her three starts.
• Murray earns her first weekly conference honor of the season.
