BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands' (Ky.) Jessica Cord and Grace Ross are the Mid-South Conference Softball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 


MSC Softball Player of the Week
Grace Ross – Cumberlands (Ky.) - Gr. - Austin, Texas
 

• Ross hit .560 (14-for-25) to help Cumberlands to a 6-1 record last week.
• She blasted a pair of home runs and drove in 11 runs while posting a .920 slugging percentage during the week.
• Ross recorded at least one hit in all seven games and had four multi-hit games.
• She added three doubles and scored seven times.
• Ross earns her first weekly conference honor of the season.

 
MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Jessica Cord – Cumberlands (Ky.) - Sr. - Prattville, Ala.
 

• Cord posted a 4-0 record in her four starts last week to help Cumberlands improve to 6-1 on the season.
• She recorded a 0.88 ERA with three complete games over her 24 innings.
• Cord ended the week striking out 19 batters.
• Her best performance came in an 8-0, three-hit shutout of Midway (Ky.)
• Cord earns her first weekly conference honor of the season.
