COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 3 seed Bethel (Tenn.) used an own goal to upset No. 2 seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) tonight in the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Tournament Semifinals.

The Wildcats (8-4-2) advance to the tournament finals against top-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) in Lebanon, Tennessee. The two teams also played in last season's championship match.

The lone goal of the match came in the 76th minute. Bethel's Sam Neill shot from inside the penalty area, ricocheted off a Blue Raider defender and into the goal for the 1-0 advantage.

Bethel goalkeeper Mauricio Gonzalez De Leon made the goal stand, stopping all six Lindsey Wilson (9-7-1) shots on goal.

Bethel -- the defending MSC Tournament champions -- advances to its second straight championship match. The Wildcats and Phoenix played for the title last season as well, with Bethel winning 2-0 in McKenzie.

The tournament winner earns the conference’s automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships in November.
