Lindsey Wilson’s Carbon, Georgetown’s Bishop Earn Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Kenyata Carbon and Georgetown’s (Ky.) Rashad Bishop are the Mid-South Conference Men’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Rashad Bishop – Georgetown (Ky.) – Sr. – Forward – Louisville, Ky.
  • Bishop averaged 10.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, two blocks, and a steal for the Tigers and their 2-0 week.
  • The senior had a game-high 12 rebounds and four blocks in Georgetown’s 15-point victory against Washington Adventist (Md.)
  • Bishop earns the third weekly honor of this season and of his career.
MSC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Kenyata Carbon – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr. – Guard – Owensboro, Ky.
  • Carbon claimed his fourth consecutive 20-point game for the Blue Raiders as they bested Washington Adventist (Md.), 95-88.
  • The junior sank his first ten shots from the floor, pouring in a game-high 25 points. He also had four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
  • Carbon earns his fourth weekly conference honor this season and of his career.
