BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands (Ky.) Julius Makinen is selected as the Mid-South Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
Julius Makinen – Cumberlands (Ky.) – FR – Helsinki, Finland

• Makinen finished 78th of 460 runners competing at the Southern Showcase.
• Makinen posted an 8K time of 24 minutes and 58 seconds to help Cumberlands finish 21st out of 48 teams.
• Makinen earns his first runner of the week honor of his career.
