BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is No. 1 and three other Mid-South Conference teams are mentioned in the NAIA Men's Golf Preseason Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, NAIA officials announced on Friday.

The Blue Raiders -- who captured the 2025 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship -- received 473 voting points from the national raters. Lindsey Wilson begins its season Sept. 28-30 at the Pikeville (Ky.) Fall Invitational.

Campbellsville (Ky.) is the other ranked MSC team in the preseason poll. The Tigers are No. 22 after picking up 114 voting points. Campbellsville opens its season Sept. 7-9 at the Rohrman Invite.

Cumberland (Tenn.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) are each just outside the top 25 but still receiving voting points.

Cumberland received 23 voting points, while Cumberlands garnered 19 voting points.

Oklahoma City is No. 2 in the national poll with 459 voting points, while Keiser (Fla.) is third with 445 voting points. Dalton State (Ga.) (423 voting points) and MidAmerica Nazarene (Kansas) (412) round out the top five.

The first regular-season poll is scheduled to be released on Friday, Oct. 17.

Ratings Methodology

·        The rating is rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and unaffiliated groupings.

·        The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater rates the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place, 28 for third-place, and so on through the list.

·        The highest and lowest ratings for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) are removed. The team’s rating will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) on which the team appears.

·        Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered “receiving votes”.
