Lindsey Wilson Takes the Lead at NAIA Men's Golf National Championships

SILVIS, Ill. -- Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) surged into the lead after today's second round at the 73rd annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at TPC Deere Run.

The Blue Raiders lead a compact leaderboard with 18 holes remaining in the championship. Lindsey Wilson owns a two-round total of 569 (287-282) to lead second-place Keiser (Fla.) by one shot and Wayland Baptist (Texas) by two.

Campbellsville (Ky.) failed to make the 15-team cut following Thursday's play. The Tigers shot a two-day total of 601 (302-299).

Rio Saigal led the Blue Raiders today with a 4-under par 67. He carded five birdies today, including four in his final six holes, to move into second place at 7-under 135. He is two shots off the lead held by Dalton State's (Ga.) Jack Whaley. Saigal and Whaley will be paired together tomorrow in the final group of the championship.

Stanley White joined Saigal in red numbers (under par) on Thursday. He carded a 1-under 70 to move to 16th place in the tournament. White recorded three birdies and two bogeys today to climb 12 spots up the leaderboard.

Campbellsville's Kevin Latchayya led the Tigers during the tournament, carding a two-day total of 146 (71-75).

Lindsey Wilson begins its final round at 9:40 a.m. CT.
