CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.
 – Campbellsville University Athletics has named longtime university administrator and alumnus Brandon Lakes as the new head coach of the men's and women's bowling programs, the office announced Monday.

Lakes, a "Triple Tiger" who has earned two degrees from Campbellsville and is currently pursuing a third, will transition from his current role as the university's Director of the Health and Wellness Center.

Lakes has been a staple at Campbellsville University for nearly a decade. Prior to overseeing the Health and Wellness Center, he served as the Assistant Director of Intramurals and a Resident Director, managing student staff and coordinating campus-wide events. His deep roots on campus also include serving as an adjunct instructor for the School of Business, Economics, and Technology, teaching courses in management and organizational behavior.

A 2011 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Lakes also earned a Master of Management and Leadership from CU in 2017. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the university's Management and Leadership program.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to take on this new challenge," Lakes said. "Campbellsville University is home, and the opportunity to lead a varsity program here is a dream come true. I look forward to building a culture of excellence, both on the lanes and in the classroom, and helping our student-athletes reach their full potential. We have a great foundation, and I'm ready to get to work building a championship-caliber program."

Lakes' background includes extensive experience in management, bookkeeping, and team leadership from his time as a small business owner before returning to work for the university.
