HENDERSON —
As the Freed-Hardeman Lions and Lady Lions continue their summer preparations for the 2025-26 season, two programs will have new leaders. Missie Jenkins has been added as the FHU cheer coach while Will White will take over as head Esports coach.

Jenkins, who has served FHU in numerous capacities, returns to the sidelines as the cheer coach. She has five years of experience as the coach for the cheer program in addition to many years of gymnastics. In addition to her new cheer role, she will continue to serve as Coordinator of Accessibility Services.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to return as the cheer coach for the Freed-Hardeman University Lions," said Jenkins. "This program holds a special place in my heart, and I'm eager to step back into this role with energy, passion, and a renewed vision. I look forward to working alongside such talented athletes and building a program that not only represents the spirit and excellence of FHU but also makes a lasting impact on and off the sidelines. The future is bright for Lion Cheer, and I can't wait to see what we accomplish together."

In addition to his duties as FHU volleyball's assistant coach, Will White will serve as the new head coach for FHU Esports. Known for his recruiting abilities and leadership of the junior varsity volleyball program, White looks to continue to build the Esports program in their season season.

"I want to thank Coach Estes for the opportunity to lead this young program," said the program's new leader. "I'm also grateful to Coach [Greg] Maxwell for his dedication in getting it started. We have a great group of people, an outstanding faculty, and an amazing university. The future is bright, and I'm honored to be a part of it."
