Park City, Kan. – The 2025 NAIA Women’s Wrestling Championships conclude as the Mid-South Conference’s very own Life University claims the Red Banner for the first time in program history.
Life (Ga.) collected 190.5 total points to earn the Title, as three Eagles would earn individual championships, and the most All-American honors in the NAIA this season with 10.
Cumberlands (Ky.) collected 116.5 points and finished third as a team. The Patriots earned six All-American honors. Katie Gomez finished runner-up in the 124 weight class.
Indiana Tech finished 10th with 70.5 points, Campbellsville (Ky.) finished 12th with 42 points, and Lourdes (Ohio) finished 15th with 32.5.
In 110 Stefana Jelacic (Lourdes) claimed her second straight NAIA title, securing a 10-0 technical fall in dominant fashion. The back-to-back champion will now turn her focus to international competition as she prepares to wrestle for the Serbian national team.
In 138 pounds, Zaynah McBryde (Life), one of three sisters competing in the national championship finals for Life University, won her first national title as a junior. She dominated the final with a 10-0 technical fall, never allowing her opponent an opportunity to score.
In 160 pounds, Latifah McBryde (Life) the second of three McBryde sisters to win a national title on Saturday, earned a 9-1 decision victory. The junior secured her first NAIA championship, continuing Life University’s dominance on the national stage.
In ??207 pounds, Savannah Isaac (Life) a freshman, made an impressive debut at the national championship, securing a first-time title victory. She displayed elite positioning and control, earning a 7-2 decision victory in the finals.
Twenty-four MSC wrestlers earned All-American honors at the national championship by finishing in the top eight of their respective weight class.
