President’s Cup Standings
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) extended its lead in 2024-25 Mid-South Conference President’s Cup following the winter season, conference officials announced on Wednesday.
The Patriots -- who led by four points after the fall -- extend their lead to 21 points in the year-long competition. Cumberlands is up to 135.5 points thanks to a dominant winter season. The Patriots won championships in men's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor track & field, and men's wrestling. They shared the regular-season title in women's basketball.
Campbellsville (Ky.) is second with 114.5 points and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is third with 108 points. Cumberland's (Tenn.) 107 points is fourth and Georgetown's (Ky.) 72.5 points is fifth. Bethel (Tenn.) and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) round out the seven-team conference with 52.5 and 45 points, respectively.
Campbellsville shared the conference title with Cumberlands in women's basketball while Cumberland claimed 10 points in both men's and women's bowling. Georgetown captured the final conference winter championship, winning the cheerleading title.
Cumberlands leads the Men’s All-Sports Trophy and Women’s All-Sports Trophy standings. The Patriots tallied 68 points in the men's race while scoring 67.5 points in the women's sports.
Points are awarded based on the final regular-season standings for each conference-sanctioned sport. The regular-season champion or event champion -- in the case of no regular season schedule -- in each sport receives 10 points, with second place receiving nine points, etc. The top seven male and top seven female team finishes for each institution generate the institution’s overall totals. For co-ed sports, points are awarded to the gender that benefits the most by the co-ed score.
Campbellsville is second in both all-sports races with 59 and 55.5 points, respectively.
President's Cup points are reserved only for full conference members competing in conference championship sports. President's Cup points are not given to emerging sports in the MSC.
