BOWLING GREEN, Ky – Cumberland University’s Mustapha Bokpin (Track) and Cumberland University’s CamRon Hamby (Field) named the Mid-South Conference Men's Track and Field Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
MSC Men’s Track Player of the Week
Mustapha Bokpin – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Jr. – Ghana – Dash
- Bokpin had a championship-filled weekend as he would crown himself in multiple events.
- In the 60-meter dash, he would place first out of 18 contestants with a time of 6.64. In the 200-meter dash, he would place first out of 17 contestants with a time of 21.26.
- Lastly, in the 4x400 relay, his team placed first with a time of 3:16.3, earning him his second Track honor of the season.
MSC Men’s Field Player of the Week
CamRon Hamby –Campbellsville (Ky.)–Sr.–Louisville, Kentucky–Triple/Long Jump
- Hamby, who is still ranked #1 in the country in the triple jump this season, added another accolade to his already impressive resume for Campbellsville.
- He won the triple jump crown on his fifth attempt of the day with a mark of 14.42m after trailing Cumberland University's Amir Mersal, who hit 14.27m early in the event.
- Hamby, becoming a conference Champion over the weekend, also earned this honor for the third time in this category, and will end the season with more Field honors than any athlete in the Conference.
