Men's and Women's Soccer Semifinals Contested Today

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- The Mid-South Conference men's and women's soccer tournaments continue today with semifinal action across the conference.

The top four seeds in both the men's and women's brackets compete in the semifinals today.

All tournament games will be free to watch on the Mid-South Conference Network hosted by the Urban Edge Network.

WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT

Top-seed Cumberland (Tenn.) makes its tournament debut today after earning a bye into the semifinals. The Phoenix (12-3-1) hosts fourth-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) at noon CT in Lebanon, Tennessee.

The Tigers (9-8) beat fifth-seeded Bethel (Tenn.) 3-1 on October 31 in Campbellsville.

Cumberland defeated Campbellsville 6-2 in the final game of the regular season on October 24 in Campbellsville.

In the second women's semifinal, No. 2 seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) plays host to No. 3 seed Cumberlands (Ky.) at 6 p.m. CT in Columbia, Ky.

The Blue Raiders (9-4-2) earned their spot in the semifinals with a 2-0 win over seventh-seeded Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on October 30 in Columbia. Cumberlands (12-3-3) advanced to the semifinals with a 6-0 win over No. 6 seed Georgetown (Ky.) on October 29 in Williamsburg, Ky.

Lindsey Wilson won the regular-season meeting with the Patriots 1-0 on October 8 in Williamsburg.

The two winners advance to the finals on Tuesday, November 11, at the highest remaining seed.

MEN'S TOURNAMENT

No. 1 seed Cumberlands opens up postseason play at 7 p.m. ET against No. 4 seed Cumberland (Tenn.) in Williamsburg.

Cumberland (12-2-3) advanced to the semifinals with a 2-0 win over Campbellsville on October 31.

The Patriots (8-4-4) beat Cumberland 5-0 on September 20 in Lebanon.

The second semifinal features second-seeded Bethel (10-1-3) and third-seeded Lindsey Wilson (12-2-1). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT in McKenzie, Tenn.

Bethel advanced to the semifinals with a 2-1 overtime win over No. 7-seed Georgetown (Ky.) on October 29. Lindsey Wilson reached the semifinals with a 2-1 win over sixth-seeded Freed-Hardeman on October 30 in Columbia.

Lindsey Wilson defeated Bethel 3-1 on October 21 in Columbia.

The two winners advance to the finals on Tuesday, November 11, at the highest remaining seed.

The tournament winners earn the Mid-South Conference's automatic bid into the NAIA National Tournament later this month.
