BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Kyle Duke and Georgetown’s (Ky.) Rashad Bishop are the Mid-South Conference Men’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Rashad Bishop – Georgetown (Ky.) – Sr. – Forward – Louisville, Ky.
- Bishop averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game for Georgetown’s 3-0 week.
- The senior had a team-high 21 points and four blocks in the Tigers’ win against WVU Tech.
- Bishop earns the conference honor for the second time this season and of his career.
MSC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Kyle Duke – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Guard – Toronto, Canada
- Duke averaged 25.3 points and 3.7 assists in the Cumberlands Patriots’ perfect week.
- The senior shot over 54% from the field and was 10-16 from three during the stretch.
- Duke earns his first weekly conference honor this season and of his career.
