BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Riggs Abner and Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Kenyata Carbon are the Mid-South Conference Men’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Riggs Abner – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Sr. – Guard – Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

• Abner posted a double-double (12 points and 12 rebounds) in the Phoenix’s victory over Oakwood (Ala.).
• Abner earns the first weekly honor of this season and of his career.

MSC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Kenyata Carbon – Lindsey Wilson – Jr. – Guard – Owensboro, Ky.

• Carbon put in 20 points, six rebounds, five steals, three assists, and one block to lead Lindsey Wilson in the Blue Raiders’ season-opening win against Brescia.
• He shot 46.2% from the field and went 7-9 at the charity stripe.
• Carbon earns his first weekly conference honor this season and the second of his career.
