BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Day one is in the books and the Mid-South Conference Fall ITA is underway. Five teams represented the MSC as Georgetown College, Lindsey Wilson College, Freed-Hardeman University, University of the Cumberlands, and Cumberland University all made the trip to Michael Buchanan Park’s tennis complex, on a warm and sunny Bowling Green day.

On the Men’s side, Singles saw 20 matches, followed by 8 Doubles matches. In the first flight we saw a great showing from the University of the Cumberlands. Juanchi Alcon (UC) defeated Alex Stragier (GC) 7-6, 6-1; Gabriele Solda (UC) defeated Julian Prada (CU) 5-7, 6-4, 1-0. Additionally Juame Barcelo (LW) defeated Chase Hechemy (GC) 6-1, 6-1; and Gabriel Godoy (CU) defeated Maxine Guyon (FH) 6-2, 6-4. 

In the second flight of matches Cumberland University would win 2, as Leo Schirmer (GC) defeated Vitor Ferreria (CU) 6-4, 7-6 and Dan Wessels (CU) defeated Merlin Bolema (FH) 6-4, 6-3. Additionally Liam Savio (UC) defeated Will Barnes (GC) 3-6, 7-5, 1-0; Hans Schubert (LW) defeated Luis Bonifasi (UC) 6-4, 7-6. 

In the third flight of matches Cumberland University would again win 2 of the 4 matches as Hassan Ammar (CU) defeated Andrew Kennedy (GC) 4-6, 6-2, 1-0; and Elisey Kalashnikov (CU) defeated Darius Kuster (UC) 7-6, 6-4. Marcal Miret (LW) defeated Martin Couto (UC) 6-1, 6-3; and Pablo Poleo (FH) defeated Matthew Smith (GC) 4-6, 6-2, 1-0. 

In the fourth flight of matches Lindsey Wilson would show strong as Lucas Marques (LW) defeated Fernando Flores (CU) 6-2, 6-2; and Aldo Randazzo (LW) defeated Pierluigi Cruypennick (UC) 6-3, 4-6, 1-0. Lucas Augotr (UC) defeated Vaibhav Bisht (CU) 6-3, 7-5; Brayden Young (FH) defeated Rex Roof (GC) 7-6, 6-3. 

In the last flight University of the Cumberlands would again show string as Vivier Thilbaud (UC) would defeat Stephen Taylor (GC) 6-3, 6-3 and S. Rakotondrainibe (UC) defeated Tsugu Hirose (GC) 6-1, 6-0. Paul Daniel Meyer (CU) defeated Nolan Laduree (FH) 6-2, 6-2; lately Santiago Passoni (LW) defeated Arne Sohmer (CU) 6-3, 6-0.
         
Thursday will start just like today with the first match beginning at 8:30 CT. Winning players will play first, followed by the consolation games, following that trend the whole day.
