Men's Soccer MSC Tournament Semi-Finals Recap

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) advance to the MSC Championship

Bowling Green, Ky.-- After the Semi-Finals of the Mid-South Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament, No. 2 seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) defeated No. 4 seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) and No. 1 seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) defeated No.3 seeded Campbellsville (Ky.).

In the early match of the day, Cumberlands (Ky.) defeated Cumberland 2-0 in regulation. Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Shuma Sasaki scored the opening goal for the Patriots, assisted by Salvador Martinez in the 25th minute. The scoring would be capped in the first half as Salvador Martinez switched roles, scoring the second goal of the match from Rodrigo Riveros in the 36th minute.

In the second match of the night, No.1 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) 2-0 in regulation. Both goals would come in the first half as Sebastian Tregarthen would assist Dominic Ayella in the 22 minute to strike first. In the 24th minute lightning would strike twice as Sebastian Tregarthen would assist Dominic Ayella once again.
 

This sets up the championship match between No.1 seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and No.2 seeded Cumberlands (Ky.).
 

The championship match is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13 at 6:00 P.M. CT at Lindsey Wilson College’s Walter S. Reuling Stadium where the rest of the tournament will be played.
