BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference and Sun Conference have unveiled a football scheduling partnership for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. This collaboration will allow teams from both conferences to fill early-season non-conference scheduling gaps by facing opponents from the other league.

“We are excited about the partnership with the Sun Conference in this football scheduling agreement,” Mid-South Commissioner, Eric Leach, commented. “It will produce some high-quality matchups between our two conferences and solidify our schedules for the next two seasons. Both conferences have a rich tradition of football, and we can’t wait to see it continue on the field of play.”

The agreement will provide each Mid-South Conference team with two home-and-home series against Sun Conference opponents over the course of the two-year agreement. Each institution will have one home game and one road game through the agreement in both 2025 and 2026.

Sun Conference Commissioner, Dustin Wilke, added, “This is a mutually beneficial agreement that will serve to stabilize our football schedules over the next two years and produce many competitive NAIA matchups. We are greatly appreciative of the partnership of Commissioner Leach and institutional leadership in the Mid-South to work together to make this happen.”

Mid-South Conference football-playing institutions include Bethel University (Tenn.), Campbellsville University (Ky.), Cumberland University (Tenn.), Faulkner University (Ala.), Georgetown College (Ky.), Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.), and University of the Cumberlands (Ky.).

Reinhardt University (Ga.) out of the Appalachian Athletic Conference will also participate in the scheduling agreement, which will allow for an equal number of teams. Reinhardt will play two games against Sun Conference opponents in both 2025 and 2026.

The Sun Conference football-playing institutions include Ave Maria University (Fla.), Florida Memorial University, Keiser University (Fla), Southeastern University (Fla.), St. Thomas University (Fla.), Thomas University (Ga.), Warner University (Fla.), and Webber International University (Fla.).

The matchups for these games will be announced at a later date. Please visit mid-southconference.org and thesunconference.com for updates.
