MID-SOUTH CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT SEEDING
The regular season conference winner shall be seeded first in the conference tournament. Other seeds will be assigned by record. Ties will be resolved by sport guideline:
ALL SPORTS SEEDING AND TIEBREAKER POLICY
Teams will be seeded based on the best win-loss percentage involving the matrix schedule of Mid-South Conference games for the MSC Tournament. In the event of ties, the following procedure for seeding will be used for the MSC Tournament.
The highest tie will be broken first using the following format:
- Head to head competition between teams involved in the tie.
- Record against MSC teams beginning with the No. 1 seed, and if still tied proceeding in descending order.
- Best win-loss percentage involving common opponents outside the MSC.
- Point/Run/Goal etc. differential against each other.
- Coin toss.

Record
|
- Team A & B would first look at head to head.
- Team A & B split with each other.
- Team A & B would then look to the next highest seed.
- Team C, D, & E are tied for the next highest seed.
- Team C, D, & E would look at head to head.
- If team C, D, & E each split with each other, they would then look at the next highest seeds with would be A & B. A & B defeated C, D, & E each time.
- C, D, & E would then look at the next teams in descending order. Therefore, teams C, D, & E would then look at team F. Team C defeated them F twice. Team D & E split with Team F. Therefore, Team C would be the third seed. If D & E both had identical records against the remaining teams, then D & E would go to win-lost percentage involving common opponents outside the MSC. If still tied D & E will look at point differential and last a coin toss.
- Team A & B defeated all other teams in the conference. The teams would then look at win-lost percentage involving common opponents outside the MSC.
- If still tied A & B will look at point differential and last a coin toss.
