BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Luis Garcia and Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Zahir Garcia are the Mid-South Conference Men’s Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

MSC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Zahir Garcia – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr. - Goalkeeper – Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

• Garcia posted a .50 goal-against average and a .923 save percentage across two victories for No. 10 Lindsey Wilson last week.
• He recorded three saves to preserve a shutout of Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on Tuesday, then made nine saves at No. 16 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, including three in the final 20 minutes, to help the blue raiders to a 2-1 win over the Wildcats.
• Garcia saved a penalty kick in the 72nd minute of  Saturday’s match, his third penalty save of the season.
• Garcia earns his second weekly conference honor of the season.

MSC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Luis Cerejo – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Jr. – MidFielder - Porto, Portugal.

• Cerejo was pivotal in two big results for the Phoenix last week chipping in on four out of six total goals scored during the week.
• Against No. 4 William Penn (Iowa) he assisted and scored in the 3-3 draw, before then scoring a brace in the 3-1 win against RV Bethel University (Tenn.).
• Cerejo earns his first conference weekly honor of the season.
