BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Ashiat Naluggwa and Cumberlands' (Ky.) Samantha Sokolove are the Mid-South Conference Women’s Soccer Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
MSC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Samantha Sokolove– Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. - Defender – Hundsonville, Mich.
- Sokolove anchored the Patriots' defense to a top-10 victory over No.8 Truett McConnell (Ga.)
- Sokolove played a pivotal part in limiting the Bears to just four shots on frame in the match, including a team save in the 59th minute to keep Cumberlands in front 1-0.
- Sokolove earns her weekly honor of the season.
MSC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Ashiat Naluggwa – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Sr. – Midfielder – Mukono, Uganda
- Naluggwa posted a team-high two shots as No.16 Lindsey Wilson upset fourth-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan on Saturday in Jackson, Tennessee.
- She scored both of Lindsey Wilson’s goals in the win, including a penalty kick to lead the Blue Raiders to the win.
- Naluggwa earns her first weekly honor of the season.
