Mid-South Conference Announces 2026 Softball Season Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Mid-South Conference officials announced the 2026 All MSC Softball teams and individual award winners on Wednesday.

Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Myleah Hardy is the MSC Softball Player of the Year, Lindsey Wilson's (Ky.) Kayden Murray is the Pitcher of the Year, and Cumberland's (Tenn.) Avery Rauscher is the MSC Softball Freshman of the Year.

Mid-South Conference head coaches selected the individual awards and all-conference teams by vote. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

Lindsey Wilson's coaching staff picked up the MSC Coach of the Year honors. Callum Maskill is the head coach of the year, and Annabelle Sharber is the conference assistant coach of the year.

Hardy is hitting .360 this season with 18 home runs, 49 RBIs, and an .849 slugging percentage. She leads the Mid-South in homers and slugging percentage and ranks third in RBIs. Hardy has earned MSC Player of the Week once this season.

Murray is 23-3 this season with a 1.77 earned run average and 212 strikeouts. She leads the Mid-South in wins, strikeouts, and saves (5) entering the postseason. She earned MSC Pitcher of the Week three times this season.

Rauscher recorded a 10-9 record with a 2.35 ERA. She heads into postseason play with 104 strikeouts. Rauscher's 10 wins this season is tied for fifth in the MSC.

Maskill and Sharber led the Blue Raiders to the MCS regular-season title this season. Lindsey Wilson owns a 38-6 overall record and a 14-4 mark in conference play.

Twenty Softball student-athletes earned first-team all-conference honors, and another 10 earned second-team honors. The MSC Gold Glove Team was also announced on Wednesday. The team is selected by the conference coaches based on fielding percentage and number of fielding chances during the season.

The Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament begins on Wednesday, with the championship scheduled for Saturday at Marilyn D. Sparks Park in Columbia, Ky..
