BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) captured the 2026 Mid-South Conference Men’s Golf Championship on Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club, securing the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA Men’s Golf National Championship.
The Blue Raiders finished with a team-total 11-over par total of 875 (286-297-292) over the two-day tournament. Lindsey Wilson held off a competitive field over three rounds to claim the program's third straight conference title and eighth overall.
The Blue Raiders' scoring quartet blistered the final five holes to sprint away from the field. Lindsey Wilson's top four scores posted six birdies and a 5-under par finish to win the tournament by eight shots.
Bethel (Tenn.) made a strong push in the final round, jumping Cumberland (Tenn.) to finish runner-up with an 883 (293-300-290). The Phoenix slipped one spot to third, posting an 885 (296-291-298) after entering the final round in contention.
Cumberlands (Ky.) placed fourth with an 886 (292-307-287), followed by Campbellsville (Ky.) in fifth at 890 (292-300-298). Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) and Georgetown (Ky.) rounded out the standings with scores of 907 (295-309-303) and 908 (306-308-294), respectively.
Individually, Gustav Fredriksson led the way, capturing medalist honors with a three-round total of 3-under par 213 (71-70-72). Fredriksson’s consistent play across all three rounds helped him separate from the field and secure an invitation into the NAIA National Championship.
Campbellsville’s Carson Childress finished as the runner-up at even par 216 (70-70-76), while Cumberlands' Pedro Alonzo-Morgado claimed third place at 1-over par 217 (72-74-71) to round out the top three.
With their wins, Lindsey Wilson and Fredriksson advance to the NAIA National Championships May 12-15, at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
