Cumberlands Wins MSC Women's Golf Title in Comeback Fashion

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Cumberlands (Ky.) overcame a two-stroke deficit to capture the 2026 Mid-South Conference Women's Golf Tournament championship on Tuesday at Bowling Green County Club. 

With the victory, the Patriots earned the conference's automatic bid in the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship.

Cumberlands posted the best round of the tournament (307) in today's final round to win by four shots over Cumberland (Tenn.) and five over Lindsey Wilson (Ky.)

Cumberlands’ finished the two-day event with a team-total 933 (312-314-307). Cumberland finished runner-up with a 937 (313-314-310), while Lindsey Wilson was third with a 938 (310-314-314). 

Lindsey Wilson's Kayla Saunders took home the individual title with a 215 (74-75-74). With the medalist honor, Saunders earns an automatic bid into the NAIA National Championship next month.

Cumberland’s Crystal Zamzow finished in second, shooting a 227 (76-76-75), and Cumberlands’ Atchariya Thanaudomkul finished in third with a 229 (74-79-76).

Bethel (Tenn.) ended in fourth place in the team standings with a 970 (321-322-327), followed by Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) 974 (321-322-327). Campbellsville (Ky.) ended in sixth at 1,019 (347-340-332), while Georgetown (Ky.) rounds out the standings at 1,028 (345-343-340).

With their wins, Cumberlands and Saunders advance to the NAIA National Championships May 12-15, at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
