Williamsburg, KY – The University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) recorded 223 points, including 26 podium finishes, to win the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Archery Championship Saturday afternoon at the UC All Purpose Field. The Patriots also captured the 2025-26 overall MSC title with a score of 30 points after winning all three legs.
Following the conclusion of the championships, conference officials recognized the top award winners. Kyle Coffey of Union Commonwealth (Ky.) and Jack Dinapoli of Pikeville (Ky.) were named the Co-Men’s Shooters of the Year, while Anastacia Godman of Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Hannah Summers of Cumberlands (Ky.) earned Co-Women’s Shooters of the Year honors. Cumberlands swept MSC Freshman of the Year honors as Chase White and Isabell Lehsten garnered those honors, as the Patriots Kris Strebeck and Caleb Kirby were named MSC Coach and Assistant Coaches of the Year.
Cumberlands accumulated 12 gold medals and seven runner-up finishes. The Patriots earned five gold medals during team rounds, while six individual archers finished atop the podium in their respective division. Lilie Aguilar (women’s compound), Erin Heyob (women’s barebow), Lidia Quezada (women’s recurve), Hannah Summers (women’s fixed pins), Chase White (men’s barebow), and Aiden Woodie (men’s fixed pins) all captured individual gold medals.
Lindsey Wilson scored 124 points to finish second after posting 14 podium finishes. A.J. Shagool went 3-0, including a 6-2 win in the finals, to capture the men’s recurve title. The Blue Raiders also took top honors in the women’s barebow team rounds. Lindsey Wilson tallied six runner-up finishes and six bronze medals.
Pikeville rounds out the top three with 99 points, including winning four conference titles. All four of their gold medals came in team rounds as the Bear finished atop the podium in mixed fixed pins and recurve along with men’s fixed pins and men’s recurve.
Kapt Brandt tallied a pair of gold medals winning the men’s compound division and being part of the Bulldogs mixed compound team. Union Commonwealth earned 59 points to place fourth.
Campbellsville (Ky.) edged out Midway (Ky.) for fifth place as the teams scored 25 and 18 points, respectively.
All archery teams will now set their sights on the USA Outdoor Nationals in May.
