BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Jessie Daniels and Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Kayden Murray are the Mid-South Conference Softball Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
MSC Softball Player of the Week
Jessie Daniels – Campbellsville (Ky.) - Jr. - Owensboro, Ky
- Daniels tallied 10 RBIs, three home runs, and seven runs scored during a seven-game stretch for Campbellsville.
- She hit two home runs against Saint Xavier (Ill.) and delivered a two-run double against No. 16 LSU Alexandria.
- Daniels also drove in the game winning RBI in the fourth inning of Campbellsville’s upset victory over No. 22 William Carey
- Daniels earns her first conference honor of the season.
MSC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Kayden Murray – Lindsey Wilson – Jr. – Bowling Green, Ky
- Murray made four appearances in Gulf Shores, earning two complete-game wins and her third save of the season.
- She recorded 27 strikeouts over 15.1 innings with a 1.37 ERA and only four walks.
- Murray registered 10+ strikeouts in both starts and struck out all four batters she faced in relief appearances.
- Murray recorded her 400th career strikeout during the weekend
- Murray earns her third weekly conference honor of the season.
