Culley, Andiarena  Earn Mid-South Conference Baseball Weekly Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-- Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Wesley Culley and Derick Andiarena are the Mid-South Conference Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States. 

MSC Baseball Player of the Week
Derick Andiarena - Cumberlands (Ky.) - Sr. - Anasco, Puerto Rico.
  • Andiarena hit .500 (8-for-16) for the No.6 ranked Patriots last week to help sweep the series against Georgetown College (Ky.). 
  • Andiarena would have three multi-hit games on the weekend. 
  • Andiarena’s final statline on the weekend he tallied eight hits, one homerun, seven RBI’s, one stolen base, and five runs scored. 
  • Andiarena earns his second weekly conference honors of the season. 

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Wesley Culley - Cumberlands (Ky.) - Sr. - Millington, Tenn.
  • Culley would toss a nine-inning complete game shutout in the 10-0 win on Friday over Georgetown College (Ky.)
  • This marks Culley’s third straight complete game outing. 
  • Culley would strike out nine batters and retired the first 13 batters of the game, while only allowing four runners to reach scoring position in the game as well. Culley moves to 5-0 on the season. 
  • Culley earns his second weekly conference honors of the season.
