BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands' (Ky.) Johnboy Rittenhouse and Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Jackson Fitzwilson are the Mid-South Conference Baseball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 


MSC Baseball Player of the Week
Johnboy Rittenhouse – Cumberlands (Ky.) - Sr. - Scottsville, VA
 

• Rittenhouse hit .500 (7-for-14) in four Cumberlands' wins last week.
• He hit a pair of home runs and drove in nine Patriot runs to help No. 6-ranked Cumberlands start the season 4-0.
• Rittenhouse produced a pair of three-hit games and three-RBI games during the week.
• He earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.

 
MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Jackson Fitzwilson – Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) - Jr. - Goodlettsville, Tenn.
 

• Fitzwilson allowed just two hits over his seven innings in a 3-1 win over Saint Francis (Ind.) last week.
• He struck out five Saint Francis hitters en route to improving to 1-0 on the season.
• Fitzwilson helped the Lions win three of four games last week.
• He earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
