DANVILLE, Ky. - Cumberlands (Ky.) sits atop the team leaderboard following the first day of the Mid-South Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at the Champions Hall.

The Patriots tallied 299 points on the first day to take a 107-point lead over second-place Indiana Wesleyan (192 points). Cumberlands posted nine podiums -- three first-place, three second-place, and three third-place finishes.

First-place finishers earn first-team all-Mid-South Conference, while second and third-place finishers also earn all-conference honors.

Indiana Wesleyan recorded four podium finishes -- three first place and one second-place finish.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is third with 150 points, Midway (Ky.) and Shawnee State (Ohio) are tied for fourth with 89 points, and Campbellsville (Ky.) is sixth with 79 points.

Six A cuts, two meet records, and one conference record were achieved during Thursday night's swim.

Cumberlands' Bella Hoare swam the 500 Freestyle in five minutes and 8.02 seconds to eclipse the previous conference mark by nearly a full second.

Action continues Friday with prelims beginning at 11 a.m. ET and finals starting at 7 p.m. ET.
