BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Zaram Fredricks and Georgetown’s (Ky.) Kayra Freeman have been named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Basketball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Zaram Fredricks – Cumberlands (Ky.) – Sr. – Center – Lagos, Nigeria

• Fredricks set a program-record nine blocks in the Patriots’ win against Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).
• The senior averaged 13 rebounds, six blocks, and eight points per game for Cumberlands’ 1-1 week.
• Fredricks earns her fifth weekly honor of this season.

MSC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Kayra Freeman – Georgetown (Ky.) – Sr. – Guard – Elizabethtown, Ky.

• Freeman logged 18.5 points per game for the Tigers’ 2-0 week.
• In addition to 16 points, six assists, and six rebounds, the senior hit the game-winning layup to take down #5 Campbellsville (Ky.).
• Freeman earns her first conference honor this season.
