BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- The forecasted winter weather event scheduled for this weekend in Kentucky and Tennessee has forced the postponement of Mid-South Conference events, conference officials announced today.

The Mid-South Conference Lynne Jordan Memorial and Thomas Burris Memorial Bowling Tournaments scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Louisville have been postponed.

The tournaments have been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday, January 31-February 1, at JTown Strike & Spare in Louisville.

In addition to bowling, all three men's and women's basketball doubleheaders in the MSC on Saturday have also been postponed.

The games featuring Campbellsville (Ky.)-Cumberlands (Ky.), Georgetown (Ky.)-Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), and Cumberland (Tenn.)-Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) are postponed and will be made up on Monday, February 2.

Weather forecasts in the Mid-South Conference footprint include a mixture of ice and significant snowfall.
