Cumberlands Captures MSC Indoor Championship Title

MADISONVILLE, Ky. – The University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) recorded 207 points to capture the 2026 Mid-South Conference Indoor Archery championship, Sunday afternoon at the West Kentucky Archery Complex.  The Patriots have now won the first two phases of the three legs that determines the overall conference championship.

The Patriots tallied 11 golds, six silver, and four bronze medals on the weekend.  Cumberlands earned seven first-place finishes on Saturday as team and mixed team rounds were contested. Additionally, Chase White (men’s barebow), Landon Standish (men’s compound), Lanie Nish (women’s compound), and Ayla Mills (women’s fixed pins) each captured conference titles in their respective events.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) notched 134 points to finish runner-up behind 17 podium finishes.  The Blue Raiders took first place in the mixed fixed pins and men’s recurve team rounds.  Additionally, Anastacia Godman captured gold in the barebow women’s division.

Pikeville (Ky.) scored 102 points to place third overall.  The Bears captured four first place and five runner-up finishes on the weekend.  Jack Dinapoli (men’s recurve), Olivia Hale (women’s recurve), and Nate Harper (men’s fixed pins) finished atop the podium in their respective class, while UPike also took top honors in the mixed recurve team division.

Union Commonwealth (Ky.) won both the men’s compound team and the men’s barebow team rounds en route to placing fourth overall.  The Bulldogs tallied 69 points and eight podium finishes on the weekend.

Campbellsville (Ky.) and Midway (Ky.) rounded out the teams scoring with 33 and 20 points, respectively.

The Patriots lead the overall conference standings with 20 points, followed by Lindsey Wilson with 16 points, and Pikeville with 12 points.  Union Commonwealth (10 points), Campbellsville (8 points), and Midway (6 points) round out those standings.

Archery teams will compete at USA Indoor Nationals over the next few weeks.  The MSC Championships will conclude April 10-11 when they compete at the MSC Outdoor Championships.  That tournament will be held in Williamsburg, KY at the UC All-Purpose Field.
