WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) captured the 2025 MSC 3D Archery Championship Saturday afternoon at the UC All-Purpose Field. The event is the first of three championships that will determine the overall conference champion for archery.
The Patriots recorded 212 points and tallied nine conference champions en route to their ninth consecutive MSC 3D title. Lauren Oosterbaan (women’s barebow), Alina Distelberg (women’s recurve), Joseph West (men’s fixed pins) and Noah Coyle (men’s compound) all captured gold in their respective class during the individual shootdowns. In addition, the Patriots finished atop the podium in five of the team rounds.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) recorded 128 points to finish as the conference runner-up. The Blue Raiders tallied four conference titles and closed out the day with 12 podium finishes. Kaya Williams notched gold in the women’s compound division, while Lindsey Wilson added a trio of gold medals during the team rounds.
Pikeville (Ky.) notched four conference titles and 96 points to place third. Jack Dinapoli scored 58 points to win the men’s recurve shootdowns. The Bears also finished a top the podium in a pair of mixed team rounds as well as the men’s fixed pins team.
Union Commonwealth (Ky.) notched eight podium finishes, including a pair of gold medals to finish fourth with 72 points. Kyle Coffee pulled away from the field to capture the men’s barebow conference title.
Campbellsville (Ky.) and Midway (Ky.) placed fifth and sixth, respectively. The Tigers scored 30 points, while the Eagles tallied 27 points. Midway’s Kelli Booth capture the final gold medal of the day when she won the women’s fixed pins shootdown.
The MSC indoor conference championship will take place January 16-18 in Madisonville, Ky., while the outdoor conference championships will take place in April in Williamsburg, Ky.
