BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands (Ky.) is ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Postseason Poll, national officials announced on Wednesday.
Campbellsville (Ky.) and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) are two of 13 teams just outside the Top-25 poll, but receiving voting points.
The Patriots -- who reached the NAIA World Series -- received 356 voting points from the national raters. Campbellsville and Freed-Hardeman each garnered six voting points.
Southern Oregon received 450 voting points and all 17 first-place votes after winning the national championship.
Oklahoma City is No. 2 with 435 voting points, followed by No. 3 Eastern Oregon, No. 4 Georgia Gwinnett, and No. 5 Marian (Ind.).
A panel of head coaches representing each conference and the Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) voted in the poll.
