Georgetown Stimies Lindsey Wilson in MSC Men's Basketball Quarterfinals

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. --
No. 2-seed Georgetown (Ky.) held seventh-seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) to a season low 50 points in a 73-50 win today in the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals at Studles Financial Arena.

The Tigers advance to play the winner of No. 3 seed Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) and sixth-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) at 7:30 p.m. CT on Monday in the men's second semifinal. Top-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) and No. 4 seed Cumberland (Tenn.) meet in the first semifinal at 5 p.m. CT.

The Georgetown (26-3) defense limited the Blue Raiders to 29.8 percent (17-of-57) shooting while forcing 17 turnovers. The Tigers scored 22 points off the Lindsey Wilson miscues.

Lindsey Wilson (16-13) scored 12 of the game's first 15 points in the first three minutes before the Tigers seized control. Georgetown went on a 15-2 run over the next six minutes to take an 18-14 lead and never trailed again.

The Tigers extended the lead to 12 (32-20) at the half and ultimately led by as many as 25 points late.

Tae Dozier led the Tigers with a double-double -- 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jabrion Spikes added 14 in the win.

Julian Cunningham led the way for the Blue Raiders with 15 points.
