BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- No. 2-seed Campbellsville (Ky.) scored 24 of the game's first 26 points and never looked back in an81-55 win over seventh-seeded Cumberland (Tenn.) today in the Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Quarterfinals at Studles Financial Arena.
Campbellsville (25-2) advances to play the winner of third-seeded Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) and fourth-seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) at 2:30 p.m. CT on Monday, March 3.
The Lady Tigers shot over 64 percent in the first quarter to build a 33-10 lead at the end of the quarter. Campbellsville shot nearly 42 percent from the field for the game compared to 34 percent from the Phoenix (8-20).
Campbellsville also forced 18 Cumberland turnovers, scoring 21 points off the Phoenix miscues.
Paige Serafini led Campbellsville with 21 points, including connecting on five 3-pointers. Whitney Hay (15), Lauren Lee (13), and Tyra Flowers (10) also scored in double figures.
Cumberland's Kayla Gordon led the Phoenix with 15 points.
