BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After a competitive and record-setting season, the Mid-South Conference women's swimming & diving teams set their sights on the Mid-South Conference Championships set to begin Thursday, February 6, at the Championship Hall at Centre College. The three-day event will feature 6 teams, including 2 teams that are ranked inside the NAIA Top-10 Coaches Poll.
The MSC has continued to display its dominance throughout the season as Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) has stayed consistently top-ranked, going into this event ranked 2nd in the nation according to SwimCloud. Their stand-out swimmers, Broeersma (1) and Goede (2) rank first and second with top times in the NAIA.
The University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) ranks 4th in the nation according to SwimCloud, as their top swimmer, Ullern, sits at 9th for her top time. Sitting right outside of the top 10 is Indiana Wesleyan (Ind.) who is 12th in the nation.
Three MSC teams are all ranked within one spot of eachother as Midway University (Ky.) is ranked 26th in the nation, followed by 27th ranked Campbellsville University (Ky.), and Shawnee State (Ohio) ranking 28th. Lastly Bethel (Tenn.) sits outside of the rankings, looking to make a splash this weekend.
Doors open ay 8:00 a.m ET on Thursday with preliminary heats at 8:30 a.m ET as finals are slated for 7:30 p.m. Action continues on Friday with prelims beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET, while finals kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
The final day of competition begins at 8:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, with the final session starts at 6:30 p.m.
